whatever happened to...

This weekend was Trick-or-Treat in O-town. We had a record low number of trick or treaters in our neighboorhood. Time to move. I believe Chris thoroughly enjoys this holiday. He runs to the door when the kids are knocking AND let's them pick out what they want from the candy bowl. Usually I buy the Reese's mix bag, but that makes it too tempting to each A LOT of halloween candy, so this year I opted for the Reese's, Almond Joy, Heath (yuck) and Whoppers (double yuck) mix. Only 2 out of the four candy bars are tasty.

Remember the scares way back when that warned of pins in candy? I always thought Kit Kats and Twix would be the best candidates for pins.

I found this interesting link to a news story entitled "What's Your Halloween Candy Personality"...check it out. I'm a Reese's lover myself.

Which brings me to my question...whatever happened to Peanut Butter Twix. I think this was a great invention, crunchy cookie, smooth PB, very tasty. Alas, it is no where to be found, only the stringy caramel Twix. I did a little ask.com search and found others wondering the same thing, but no one has the answer. Evidently, there was a cookies 'n cream Twix too. There is actually an ipetition to bring the c'n c twix back, up to 500+ signatures. Anyone seen any lately?

We've haven't had many trick or treaters in recent years in our hood either! Where are they all going to get their stash?!

Hey... I like Whoppers!
I got TONS of candy this year. We always run out and I'm NOT going to run out this year. I figure that we can always eat the leftovers if we have some. Baby likes candy!
They do have PB Twix, but it's a new version. It's a chocolate cookie bar with peanut butter, covered in chocolate. It's very good! We have trick or treat tomorrow night! Yeah!

I also LOVE the peanut butter Twix but don't really care for the caramel. And I didn't like the cookies and cream either. But I love Heath! yum!

I don't think they sell the PB Twix in the small size, but you can get them in the big (regular) size most everywhere they sell candy. Keep your eyes peeled!
