Lars and the Real Girl

I heard about this movie on a morning radio show and it got good reviews, so when browsing through Netflix, I added this one to the list. Lars and the Real Girl stars Ryan Gosling as Lars, a single guy who finds love with an "anatomically correct doll" named Bianca (she's from Brazil). He lives in the garage of his childhood house, in which his brother and pregnant sister-in-law live. The family and eventually, the whole town, grow to accept Bianca and the relationship Lars has with her - which is an innocent boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, well as much as one can have with a life-sized doll. They are so accepted that Bianca is elected to the school board and volunteers in the local schools and hospitals.

It did turn out to be a cute movie. As the priest says at the end of the movie, Bianca taught the town more than they could have ever imagined.
