I've heard about this website before, but I checked it out for the first time today. It's like Netflix of the accesory world. You register for a yearly fee and then choose the tier of handbag and jewelry you'd like to borrow: trendsetter for $20 a month, princess for $40/mon, all the way up to Couture 3 for $275/mon. Otherwise, you can borrow for a week at a time: trendsetter $6, princess $13, up to $95/wk. Jewelry will actually cost you more than handbags.So, I thought to myself, I could deal with a monthly "rental" of a trendsetter handbag, I don't need to have couture. But, here is yet another hidden cost - shipping and handling. For each transaction you make, tack on $9.95 to cover s/h.
I think I'll stick to hunting at Marshall's and the handbag trade-in sale at Boston Store.
