Five on Friday

Well, (sigh of relief) today was the last day of school for the year. I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am about this. Yahoo. I got no hugs at the end of the day. The kids I had this year didn't like the books I picked out, felt like they got too many projects this year and probably won't miss me one bit. That's fine.

With that being said, I am looking forward to this summer. Why? Please see below.

Five Things Ahead in Dria's Summer Plans

1. Trip to Idaho to see Chris compete in Ironman Coeur d'Alene

2. Road trip to San Francisco with Lil' E

3. Reunion with Puerto Rico Exchange participants

4. Working on Science Curriculum (believe it or not, I am looking forward to this)

5. Hosting a Designer Daisies Flower-ific Card Workshop

6. Competing in a triathlon (I know it's only supposed to be five, but consider this a bonus)

Road trip to San Fran - FUN! I drove to San Diego a couple summers ago. A long drive - and Nebraska isnt the funnest place to drive through, but FUN!

Sounds like a fun-filled summer. I didn't get many hugs this year either on the last day, or thank yous from parents (gifts or verbal appreciation). Where's the common courtesy anymore? Oh well, I am just soooo glad to see this class go this year. That's a gift in itself.

Hmmm... I only got 4 presents myself. A little bit different that past years. Tough economic times? I'm not sure.

Our road commences from Spokane, so we're actually driving through Washington state, Oregon, and NorCal. Thank goodness Nebraska is not on the agenda!
