A Year of Firsts

I think everyone has their proverbial "List of Things to Do Before I Die". Well, I found a few things to do this year that weren't on my list, but if they were, I could cross them off.

1. Swimming lessons (private, of course... do they really have adult classes at night? Not at my YMCA.)
2. Reupholstering furniture (I found a chair and I've devoting 36 hours this spring to learning how to reupholster it, with hopes to do the couch this summer - I'll keep you updated.)

I haven't really thought about other things I would like to add to my list. I'll ponder it.

What is on your list?

I want to write a children's book and get it published before I die.

welcome - will link your blog to mine!

reapholstering furniture it something I have always thought would be fun. It looks easy on those home shows, but it probably isnt as easy as it looks. I was kicking around the idea of making a headboard and apholstering it - does that sound like it would be a reasonably project to tackle?

So, after my first night at class, I discovered there was more to reupholstering furniture. I'll take pics every time at the beginning/end of class so my SLOW progress can be scene. I think the best part will be picking out the fabric!
