Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Warning - you can read this post and no imperative plot details will be revealed!

The end of an era arrived on Saturday - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last in J.K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter books. I finished it yesterday after reading at all possible free moments during the week.

It was a good read, but as many Harry Potter fans will say, she could never answer ALL the questions readers have about each character and event in the book. Before I began reading, I didn't even think to look at the chapter titles. It wasn't until I started hearing snip-its of J.K. Rowling interviews that I started to take a peek back at the table of contents. Just a hint from Ms. Rowling - chapter 34 will bring sobs, both for the readers and the author after she finished writing it!

I didn't expect an epilogue, but that was a very satisfying ending to the book!

If you're a Harry Potter fan and haven't read the book, it's definitely worth your time and it was sad to see the series end, but Rowling did a fantastic job, once again, with her writing.

As a side note, Rowling as a neat interactive website that is worth checking out... make sure you have your sound on!

I love books.

I don't know what it is about a book store, but I could spend hours there. Reading the backs of books, browsing through each different genre, paging through magazines. Chris and I used to spend evenings there on date nights, but it's been awhile. Last night, we happened to stop by Barnes and Noble and I fell into the habit all over again. I dont' think I could ever work at a bookstore because I would spend my paycheck there. I used to work at the library, but that was okay because it didn't cost you anything and you had the power to erase the late charges. I'm not so keen on the library these days because they don't always have everything you want and sometimes, books have weird odors or stains. A little gross.

It doesn't matter how often I visit the bookstore, I'll always find something to buy. This is the despite the fact that I still have a bunch of books sitting on the shelf that are waiting to be read as it is. I'm looking forward to our upcoming vacation to North Carolina where I know I'll get a lot of reading done. I have a few books on the stack that are coming along:
