We've arrived.

So, we're here in the new house. It belongs to us, finally. We took last week to move into the new house and it turns out we're only missing a few things... bathroom garbage can, kitchen hand soap, and Chris' ratchet set. I'm sure there are other things, and I'm sure they're here somewhere, but we just haven't unpacked EVERYTHING yet.

We rented a truck and thought we were doing pretty well. Our hired help moved the furniture (just Chris' cousin and buddy) with Chris, until there was a screech of pain (I'm exaggerating, but it makes the story better). No, it wasn't my dryer coming crashing to the floor (thank goodness), but it was Chris who reinjured his back. Lovely. That did put a little bit of a halt on things. We had to call in the recruits, namely the parents, to finish the rest of the move - along with an day renting the moving truck (grrr).

We've unpacked most of what is imperative to live our day-to-day lives.

Tessie was not too happy with the process. She did a lot of crying when she had to spend the day in her own house (read: crate) when she knew the people where just on the other side of the door. When we finally did arrive, she decided our bed was a much better place to lay around than her own bed. That was quickly remedied. It's been 4 days and I think she's okay, besides avoiding her house at all costs when it's time for the people to go to work. She'll get used it, eventually.

Pictures will follow, at some point. Just haven't gotten around to take any. And, yes, I do know where the camera is.
