One Hundred Posts!

Here we are at post number 100! In the world of blog, you need to list 100 hundred things about yourself. So, here we go...

1. My full name is Alexandria.
2. No one calls me that, only if they are trying to be funny.
3. My female hamster, Fred, died this week.
4. I have an awesome husband, Chris.
5. I got a new job in my school district this year, K-6 Talented and Gifted Resource Teacher.
6. I LOVE MY NEW JOB! (It's been years since I've said that.)
7. I just bought the new John Mayer CD, Continuum. I recommend it highly.
8. I love to travel.
9. I've been to California three times this year.
10. I've traveled abroad to Puerto Rico (does that count), Ireland, England, Wales, and Jamaica.
11. I've visited 18 states. (I didn't even count airports where I've had layovers.)
12. California, North Carolina, and Wisconsin are my favorites. Good thing I live in Wisconsin!
13. I love being outdoors.
14. I've never been downhill skiiing. Not sure if I want to try.
15. We have over 15 bikes in our basement... all rideable.
16. Three and a half are mine (the half is a tandem... I can't get anywhere by myself on that)!
17. I did my first triathlon and duathlon this year.
18. I had my personal best in a 5k this summer.
19. I learned to swim in February... never thought that would happen in a million years.
20. I have 1 sister, Emily. She's cool.
21. I'm 10 years older than my sister.
22. I'm twenty-eight.
23. My birthday is in June.
24. I grew up in Wauwatosa.
25. I went to an all-girls high school.
26. We wore wool plaid skirts as uniforms.
27. The first time I went to school and didn't have to wear a uniform daily was my first day of college. WOW!
28. I went to UW-Whitewater for my undergrad in Education.
29. I minored in math, but never had to take Calculus in college. (I did in HS.)
30. I went to UW-Stevens Point for my graduate degree in Environmental Education.
31. I wasn't going to get my grad degree in something I didn't find interesting, so I didn't.
32. I only went to grad school during the summer, the rest of my courses were online.
33. I graduated with my degree in August, 2005.
34. My laptop's broke.
35. I missed Christy's birthday.
36. I have 2 pink bikes.
37. Chris and I got engaged in Times Square under the lights of New York City.
38. We've been married since July of 2002.
39. I missed my 10 year reunion.
40. I loved grade school, in fact I think I liked it more than high school.
41. College was pretty fun, both undergrad and grad.
42. I didn't go to a bar in Whitewater until after I graduated and it was a townie bar.
43. I never liked the color pink until recently.
44. My favorite color is green.
45. I have lots of blue clothing.
46. I love going to Farmer's Markets.
47. I love eating.
48. I like to think I love cooking, but I really love to read about cooking and recipes, more than the work of cooking itself.
49. I just discovered how to make applesauce, it's tasty and easy!
50. My favorite breakfast treat is a doughnut, although I usually don't feel good a few hours after eating it.
51. Our friend Al once said, if you eat a doughnut for breakfast, it's going to be a good day. If you eat two doughnuts, it's going to be an even better day.
52. If I ate 2 doughnuts everyday for breakfast, I'd be gigantic.
53. I hate going to the dentist.
54. I hate going to get my hair cut.
55. The dentist and hair cuts are on the same playing field for me.
56. I was an only child until age 10.
57. I regret missing out on my little sister's grade school years because I was too preoccupied with other, not really that important, stuff.
58. My sister's going away to college next year. That makes me sad.
59. I had a cat named Snuggles when I was little.
60. I gave Snuggles to my sister in high school because Snuggles got crabby.
61. I used to go up north during the summer as a kid.
62. Chris and I used to go up north to his parents cabin until triathlon took over summer life.
63. I like going up north.
64. When I was little, my family went up north with Gina and Kelly's family.
65. We went to Al Capone's Hideout.
66. Gina claims she found a bullet. We thought it was Al Capone's.
67. We had St. Jude reunions during college. I think we'll have one next summer for your 15 year anniversary of 8th grade graduation.
68. I feel old.
69. When I was little, I wanted to lots of different things when I grew up, like an ice cream cake decorator, tv journalist, meteorologist (not on tv), waitress and teacher.
70. I used to play teacher in the basement of my parents' house.
71. My dad brought home a huge chalkboard from work to play with.
72. He had to take it back a few days later because it wasn't really garbage. That made me very sad.
73. I got my own big chalk board for Christmas that year.
74. My friend Jodi and I used to build Barbie cities in her basement. We were in 7th grade. I don't think 7th graders play with Barbies anymore.
75. I've always lived within 1 block from one set of my grandparents growing up.
76. I used to walk to and from school in grade school.
78. Chris is an only child.
79. Chris and I met at Whitewater, even though we only lived 1 mile away from each other at home.
80. The first quality thing Chris said to me in college was "Maybe you can give me a ride home sometime." How tactful.
81. Gina and I went to school together from grade 1 all the way through college.
82. I've taught 5th grade, 6th grade, and now my new job.
83. I like custard better than ice cream and much better than ice milk.
84. My favorite traditional ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip.
85. A birthday is not a birthday without an ice cream cake. YUM!
86. I'm a lacto-ovo-pesce-vegetarian.
87. I've been so for 7 or 8 years, I've lost track.
88. I love Mexican food.
89. I'm almost done with my list.
90. My favorite holiday used to be Thanksgiving because of the food, not as much anymore.
91. My favorite holiday now is Christmas because I get to see all my family and Chris' family for an extended amount of time. There isn't too much running around.
92. I like Halloween. I love seeing little kids dressed up in funny costumes.
93. I don't think I could do a list of 300.
94. I had some cool college friends, but we rarely see each other.
95. I have some great friends from my workplace... we get to see each other all the time!
96. I have some awesome friends from grade school, I can't believe we've known each other so long.
97. I missed my 10 year high school reunion.
98. I would like to teach at the college level.
99. I don't want to do all the work for a doctorate at this point in time.
100. I've reached 100 - WOW.

Congrats on 100 posts! It was fun to read. I'm sorry that Fred died. Yes, I did find Al Capone's bullet in front of his Hideout!

I am sorry about your hamster.
You should really try downhill skiing-it's very fun!
And don't be too hard on yourself for missing the 10 year HS reunion- you must be if it's on there twice! :)

Gina totally found Al Capone's bullet. (we're dumb).

I will discount monnie's theory on downhill skiing. I tried it for the first time at age 18 and it was REALLY REALLY hard for me. (getting up after falling down was hard...I never thought it would've been) I think its one of those things that is easier if you learn when you are young.
